Lawrence was shooting as the main photographer so I had the chance to pull out the BIG GUNS. This series was shot entirely with a Mamiya AFD III, 80mm f1.9 and a Leaf Aptus 28mp Digital Back. It give a bokeh that only available to medium format shooters, the 80mm f1.9 is the fastest medium format lens you can get your hand on. The raw file from the digital back is a delight to work with, the dynamic range, color and details really shows up the capability of the Leaf Aptus Digital Back.

I’ve only use the Leaf when I’m on a commercial/advertisement shoot, somehow I’ve never used it for a wedding shoot before. I guess it is just a mind set that I need a fast shooting camera for wedding. Shooting with the Leaf is slow and deliberate, sounds corny but it almost seems like shooting film. I guess my couples will be seeing more of this camera in future shoots. :)
