Lawrence was shooting as the main photographer so I had the chance to pull out the BIG GUNS. This series was shot entirely with a Mamiya AFD III, 80mm f1.9 and a Leaf Aptus 28mp Digital Back. It give a bokeh that only available to medium format shooters, the 80mm f1.9 is the fastest medium format lens you can get your hand on. The raw file from the digital back is a delight to work with, the dynamic range, color and details really shows up the capability of the Leaf Aptus Digital Back.

I’ve only use the Leaf when I’m on a commercial/advertisement shoot, somehow I’ve never used it for a wedding shoot before. I guess it is just a mind set that I need a fast shooting camera for wedding. Shooting with the Leaf is slow and deliberate, sounds corny but it almost seems like shooting film. I guess my couples will be seeing more of this camera in future shoots. :)

Joel & Ellen Prewedding

This is a brief story about Joel & Ellen, who met way before they dated. Like in primary school? And they never took noticed of each other in that way until…… magic happens!

Enjoy!

cheers,
Eileen

Kevin & Elaine – Prewedding

posted by eileen on February 17, 2011

The couple and us spent many hours at starbucks discussing the best way to create a childhood montage different from the regular way. Of course neither do they like to act alot and so up came the “flashcard” idea.

Enjoy the video,
cheers,
Eileen (videographer)

Vernon & Jessica Pre-wedding

posted by eileen on January 26, 2011

There are many ways we can present a photomontage. Not necessarily just photo after photo after photo. So here’s a video of a photomontage combined with some daily happenings and the love and relationship between the couple!

Vernon & Jessica are a fun and quirky couple! So they wanted a video that is interesting, that can make their friends laugh and liven up the atmosphere of their wedding day. So here’s what we’ve got. Enjoy!

cheers,
Eileen

Shaun + Tanny pre-wedding video (BEHIND THE SCENES)

posted by eileen on September 23, 2010

Here’s a sneak of what went behind the scenes of this tedious stop-motion pre-wedding video.

Basically both Shaun and Tanny had to hold poses for a really long time, and every time Ruey Loon says “ok” they either have to move one step, or make a really small movement while holding the rest of their pose.

Ruey Loon took more than 5000 shots, so I’m guess Shaun, Tanny, Lawrence and Me had his voice ringing in our heads the entire day after the shoot.

“ok..ok..ok..ok..ok..ok..ok..”

Enjoy!
